Danny's Biography

Danny McCoy is a native of Las Vegas. His mother died when he was very young and his relationship with his father, Larry McCoy, was never the same after her death. Growing up, his best friend (since age 2), and the first girl he ever kissed, was Mary Connell. After high school, Danny opted to join the Marines instead of going into the family construction business. Before shipping out, he told Mary he loved her and they made love for the first time. When he returned, life went on for them. Danny eventually became the head of Security and Surveillance at the Montecito Resort and Casino. In 2004, he was recalled into active duty and once again, before shipping out, he made love to Mary. He returned after having been honorably discharged, and suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, and proposed to Mary. She eventually turned him down. He then got briefly involved with a cop and his father was killed in an accident. Later, he got involved with a realtor who was actually a con artist and tried to scam him out of some money. He broke of the relationship and is now once again single.

Mary's Biography

Mary Connell is a native of Las Vegas. Her best friend growing up was Danny McCoy, whom she fell in love with after he kissed her in the 4th grade behind the swings. Her mother's fate is unknown, but Mary suffered abuse at the hands of her father, Frank Connell, during her childhood. Mary eventually moved in with the McCoy's after Danny beat up her father for hurting her. She and Danny attended their high school prom together, wearing a dress he bought for her--the first real dress she ever owned. Years later, she became the Special Events Director at the Montecito Resort and Casino. She held this position until the casino was purchased by Monica Mancuso, who made some major renovations to the hotel. Mary did not initially return to work after the Montecito was reopened; however, Ed eventually talked her into coming back, and she was promoted to Hotel Manager. As we learned in season 1, Mary had dreamed of marrying Danny and having children, a house with a pool, and a white picket fence. It seemed she was close to having this dream come true when Danny returned from his second stint in the Marines and proposed marriage. However, after a period of time in which she and Danny were "kinda engaged," Mary returned the ring to Danny. At the time, she told Danny that it wasn't meant to be, but later it was revealed that her true motivation for returning the ring was fear. She eventually become involved with a lawyer, but things did not work out and they parted ways. After turning down Danny's marriage proposal, she eventually became involved with a lawyer. However, things ultimately did not work out between them and they parted ways.
